If it was such an issue, the media wouldn't have to use their telelens at a 6ft distance to hide the empty spots on the street.
i know there was a leak a few weeks back, but this really does seem to have come out of the blue.. the anomaly was the original decision.
it clearly had no basis in law or the constitution, and was a flimsy, ridiculous ruling.
plus the whole thing was based on a fraudulent case in the first place.. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-61928898.

i just saw got a message from cappytan that he is going live on the 19th june est (uk 8 pm) with mark o'donnell & jake alt worldly to discuss the recent scotus ruling in favour of watchtower re: the stratton v. watchtower case.
so the stratton mayor required anyone canvasing door to door to fill out a form prior to visiting residents homes.
watchtower claimed the form, which required you to reveal your name, was unconstitutional and interfered with their first amendment, free speech rights.. my step father in the uk was responsible for our restriction on 'cold calling" law, enacted to protect the vulnerable from illegitimate businessmen, criminals and others intent on taking advantage of the vulnerable at home or otherwise doing them harm.
SCOTUS is correct in this case, you shouldn’t need a permit or put on a list for exercising your constitutional rights. You’d hope they rule the same for the second amendment case that is currently in the same vein in front of them.
what’s the world coming to?
(i guess this makes me officially an older while male now ).
@blondie: the majority of the people online that get triggered never had any trauma. Moreover, if you’re that sensitive, stay away from online forums and/or get therapy or get institutionalized.
If you’re truly triggered by something I say, then that’s a YOU problem and YOU should get help, not a pretext to shut down the speech you don’t want to hear.
i am reading a lot on quora digest about this chap joel osteen.
i and other brits have said that he is hardly known in the uk .
it has been asserted that he is filling stadiums over here.
At least these guys are honest, he’s a welfare Christian, so send him money and you will learn how to get rich (which I guess is correct, if you understand how he got rich, you can repeat the same formula), he doesn’t hide he is rich though, he doesn’t pretend modesty.
These guys have a huge marketing system developed, so I guess if he visits to the UK, he will pull thousands of people in an arena.
i fear this could put an end to travelling a territory due to rising prices- where i am located in canada, we are now paying $2.08 per liter .
now since there is 3.79 litres in one gallon that equates to $7.88 per gallon... .
how many in a car group will kick in?
A US gallon is 3.785 liter.
A UK/Canadian/Australian gallon (anywhere the Queen rules) is 4.545 liter, but the Canadians choose to use the US gallon in most conversions.
hearings are on the schedule for abc, bbc, cbs, cnn, msnbc and nbc.
not on fox "news".. will you be watching?
or maybe .
Correction: it is being produced by MSNBC (Jen Psaki recently joined them) and other media outlets with the direction by ABC’s James Goldston, MSNBC is making complete with graphics, commentary etc while CBS is making it into a special. They literally changed the common senate schedule to make sure as many people can watch it (prime time is 7-10pm well outside regular working hours for our Congress critters)
The senate committee literally got a producer which is going to produce multi-media and special effects to demonstrate on prime time what they infer actually happened complete with directed pre-recordings, make-up etc.
The committee refuses to disclose how it decided to hire and who is paying for the production or who is paying the network for their prime time slots.
They should put a disclaimer: based on a true story, The story, all names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this production are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred.
another shooting, this time 14 kids dead more wounded and a teacher dead.
i am all for the second amendment and this does not change my mind.
but i do hate this kind of thing, makes my stomach turn.
There is still a lot of conflicting information coming out of this, the official police story and timeline seems to be completely made up.
The MSM seems to have given up on promoting the story though after it became clear the perp was trans-adjacent (black eyeliner, cutting, bullied for posting feminine instagrams), cops did nothing, a border patrol agent, not police, killed the perp and that parents were being held back by police.
This seems a lot like Parkland, mysterious instructions to police, doors to the school left unlocked, armed guard missing from their post, police refusing to get in, an 18 year old living on a single parent income making minimum wage with a history of mental illness and repeated contact with authorities, drug and school problems getting their hands on $5000 rifles, an illegal hand gun, and a $45,000 truck, thousands more in optics, gear and bullets. The next 12 hours you have washed up politicians like Beto that have staged an entire scene with multiple people to make a public statement all in time for the midterms.
Like Parkland and Sandy Hook, a lot of these things don’t add up. I’m sure all these parents will come out of the woodwork to prescribe all forms of left wing ideals to solve the situation from gun control to universal healthcare and gender surgery. But solving the problem like adding security to schools and making school and police administrators (politicians) responsible for failing to act, oh no, kids may hurt their feelings seeing a gun or a locked door, plus then we’d have less problems we can use to prescribe our political priors.
the watchtower teaches that the demons are the angels that came down here on earth right before the flood but research shows otherwise in this video i consider the identity of demons.if you never looked in this subject you will find this interesting ,let me know what you think.
https://youtu.be/m1zfyhmlyx0.
Demons weren’t always evil, in most cultures, including Judaism, they are simply divine messengers.
Only in later Christian mythology does there become a division between good and evil divine creatures which really points to the need for a duality of a unified god-person if humans don’t want to be held responsible for their actions (which is what absolution for sins through Jesus is supposed to represent).
Judaism doesn’t have that because God is to them only good and evil comes solely from people’s actions, hence people should be held responsible for their actions instead of blaming or seeking absolution through others.
Noteworthy as I skimmed through the video, I’m not sure if it was pointed out, but the entire underpinning of the Watchtower deviation from classical Christianity for their interpretation of Satan, Demons, and Angels, hinges on a book from the Bible they don’t even have in their Bible (Book of Enoch).
ivy hill congregation of jehovah's witnesses is currently suing the pa department of human services.
it requests "a declaration that its elders are entitled to" clergy privilege, or, in the alternative,.
to the extent that the clergyman privilege is determined to exclude its elders on the basis that they are "members of [a] religious organization[] in which members other than the leader thereof are deemed clergymen or ministers," the court declare the statute to be unconstitutional.
@Fisherman: the legal question was answered before in JW vs WTBTS and SCOTUS affirmed the case just a few years ago that the JW methodology does exclude it from clergy penitent privilege.
Clergy penitent privilege has the distinction that they are privileged between two parties (spouses, attorneys, marriage counselors, or doctors have similar protections for very much the same reasons). Most states have mandatory reporting for many crimes, so that does not exclude them if they know certain crimes are ongoing.
What JW vs WTBTS established however is that because WTBTS has not just a confession but that then gets turned into a tribunal of sorts (they initiate further contact, keep and share a record within the congregation and other third parties such as the parent corporation in NY) and keeps track of these events for whatever reason, they are now responsible for the sharing of that information with anyone else who has an interest, it’s being treated as if the person is not just laity but an employee, because instead of a private conversation, within the JW corporations it really is a business process and in that business process they are dealing with basically judging on very serious criminal matters. Hence why it is called a judicial committee although the judges never really evaluated the nomenclature.
Basically the courts held that they have taken it upon themselves because of accurate records keeping to now become liable for a failure to give notice.
It’s similar to you going to a mechanic for a problem with your car, based on what you tell them on the phone, they tell you they think it’s a serious manufacturer error. They are not liable if you ignore them and crash the car. However if you bring it to them, they inspect it and make notes, then share those notes with the manufacturer, they and the manufacturer are now liable if they don’t give notice to you and others, such as your insurance, a state inspection, DMV or federal agency that your car is totaled and should not be driven.
i want to create a new site to help people leaving the wts.. the idea is that it will be curated content of articles and videos on specific subjects such as how to fade, how to handle family, personal experiences of leaving, mistakes to avoid, plus practical life matters impacted by the wts such as how to create or rebuild a career, planning for retirement, getting counselling, making friends etc.... the idea is that it should be lots of voices to share the love and promote lots of people's channels so it becomes a more effective resource (hopefully there will always be something informative and appealing to the people visiting).. if you have a youtube channel that you would like featured, or maybe have some specific video or series that would suit, i'd be happy to include them.. likewise, if you have a subject you'd like to write about and can share some practical knowledge and guidance on, or have a life-story you'd like to share because your experience could benefit others, please let me know.. i bought a domain and setup some placeholder content:.
https://jw.watch.
please message me or post here if you have any questions or ideas..
I think perhaps an anti-JW.org would be great. Not necessarily the meat and potatoes content about 607 and 1914 nobody in the organization would ever understand or reads, but simple articles, if well written, targeted at specific audiences (young people, people thinking about joining and actual members).
The one thing the JW does well is have catchy phrases and seemingly deep questions that pull you in, then they use deceptive tricks (1 truth and a half truth) to make people think they have good answers. So if you take the same approach but use actual correct reasoning, you can point out logical inconsistency.
I’m not necessarily a good writer, but I can editorialize and research pretty well, I’d be willing to help out, but I have a real life now, so I can’t dedicate hours per day to this.
